Quotes from the organisers:

Since starting the company, one of our long term ambitions has been to create experiences across the diaspora and connect with audiences all over the world... This unique collaboration offers us the opportunity to not only do this but to display some of the diverse voices that are currently populating Black British Film.
— Anthony Andrews, Co-founder and Creative Director of We Are Parable
Ahead of the 60th anniversary of Jamaican independence, The Shot List will be a novel way of showing the influence that a country with 3 million has on the global African diaspora.
— Teanne Andrews, We Are Parable Co-founder and Director of Operations
We are delighted to be partnering with We Are Parable, JAFTA and New Wave to create “The Shot List”, a programme aimed to promote and celebrate talented Black filmmakers from across the UK, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago... We look forward to contributing to this exciting international collaborative project and supporting a cultural exchange through both digital and face to face film events, bringing together transatlantic audiences and contributors, exploring the similarities and differences that exist across the diaspora and showcasing remarkable work of emergent Black filmmakers from the UK and the Caribbean.
— Pablo Rosselló, Regional Director Arts, Americas, British Council
JAFTA facilitates and supports cultural exchange, capacity building and developmental initiatives.  The Shot List, our partnership with We Are Parable, New Wave and the British Council, aims to promote British, Jamaican and Trinidadian filmmakers and content. In keeping with our mandates, we hope that this collaboration will strengthen our international network and increase distribution as well as filmmaking and co-production opportunities.
— Saeed Thomas, President of the Jamaican Film and Television Association
New Wave is happy to be a part of The Shot List film event alongside our partners. Our brand is always seeking to create spaces and platforms to put our rich local creative efforts on display, and this event gives us the chance to introduce our audiences to a diverse range of local short films and music videos as well as equally exciting offerings from Trinidad & Tobago and the UK.
